Van Driver/Kitchen Assistant

• Responsible for a weekly inspection of the van.
• Will check if gas is needed and get oil checked.
• Keep the van clean, ensure the fire extinguisher and other required items are in working condition.
• Delivery to all CCA sites.
• When getting meals together, the driver will go over the invoice to ensure all meals are accounted for, including side dishes and any dietary meals.
• Invoices will be filled for all delivery locations.
• Putting deliveries away.
• Working the dish station when available.
• Will load the van carefully so that food does not spill or become damaged. At delivery, the van will be inspected to ensure meals are not forgotten.
• Will follow all traffic rules and drive safely. You are responsible for any traffic violations, such as speeding.
• Dress Code, we want to make a good impression when we deliver. Casual dress attire, including clean jeans without holes and not hung so low that undergarments show, no shoes with holes or open-toe styles, shirts must have sleeves, no tank, or undershirts.
• Wear the proper attire in the kitchen hat or hairnet at all times if in the kitchen including gloves when assistance in the kitchen is requested.
• Lifting is required for this position; certain delivery sites are more difficult than others. Cambros are used for some sites to keep food hot; the Cambro alone weighs 75lbs. Once it is filled with full pans of food, it becomes much heavier.
