Pay Range: $76,000-$109,000

The Business (Marketplace) Manager should have a strong background in Sales, Marketing or Finance. This role will prioritize, coordinate, and drive various initiatives through cross-functional teams to maximize opportunities with the online/omni retailers, grocery channel and off-price retail. In this role, you will be establishing the overall short and long-term growth plans and have ownership of the P&L. You will be responsible for organizing and interpreting data to drive activity to help realize the vision and achieve profitable sales. Lastly, you will be responsible for creating valuable linkage and functional discipline to understand marketing, promotional activity, product levers to maximize learnings to be leveraged across platforms. This person is accountable for all collaboration and day-to-day management of internal and external parties.

What You'll Do (Essential Duties and Responsibilities):



  • Develop an overall short and longterm Commerce strategy in partnership with our Marketing, Operations, Product Management and Leadership team
  • Be the voice of the customer internally. Influence our organization by building business cases that drive alignment and support of key customer initiatives that will drive brand love
  • Analyze advertising campaign data to provide metrics, implications, and future recommendations
  • Strong ownership of P/L and optimizing it to deliver the business profit
  • Develop and execute the eCommerce plan in line with the enterprise planning process and ensure that the online growth strategy aligns with the organization's overall business strategy.
  • Develop a strong marketing/promotional plan in conjunction with the cross-functional partners to establish brands goals
  • Ownership and success of all project management best practices and process operations
  • Evidence of strong negotiation skills with the ability to identify and implement desirable solutions to strategic and operational challenges and manage and resolve conflict.
  • Joint ownership of forecasting, monitoring, & understanding reporting of the business
  • Create business plans for new opportunities and develop and execute project plans for the launch of new items incorporating merchandising and pricing strategies
  • Support, build & execute strategy for various levels of year-round promotional planning and forecasting.
  • Work along side the Customer Marketing Manager to develop and implement long and short-term marketing strategies for Wayfair.com. Through developing marketing strategies and campaigns, including advertising, promotions, creative, and retail activations.
  • Have an understanding digital first initiatives and metrics i.e. CPC, ROAS, Bounce Rate, email open click rate, email click through rate etc.
  • Identify and leverage consumer insights for our brands in content creation, communications, and to support product launches and merchandising.
  • Data-driven, analytic mindset.
  • Identify inefficiencies in operational workflow and creatively develop scalable solutions.
  • Drives improvements and productivity enhancements to both internal and external relationship management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need (Qualifications):



  • BS/BA in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • Experience working with online retailers

  • Fast-paced corporate office environment. Some stress may occur. Travel to plants and vendors will be necessary.
