As a Security Officer - Education Site - Weekdays in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more .

As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a prominent educational location, you will be the first point of contact for students, staff, and visitors. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring access, verifying credentials, and assisting individuals entering and exiting the premises. By maintaining a visible presence at the front desk, you help to deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming atmosphere. You will also respond to inquiries, offer directions, and deliver outstanding customer service, reflecting Allied Universal's commitment to teamwork, integrity, and a people-first culture. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to individuals entering and exiting the location by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Monitor access to the premises, verifying credentials and assisting with visitor management as required.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Maintain a visible presence at the front desk to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
• Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, including alerting the necessary personnel and following communication procedures.
• Document and report any security-related incidents or unusual activity to Allied Universal management and site contacts as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
