The SciTech organization at VNS Health is seeking an experienced Data DevOps Engineer to join our team and lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust data. This role combines deep technical expertise in data engineering with DevOps best practices to deliver scalable, secure, and automated data solutions across multiple single-tenant architectures.

What You Will Do
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for multi-tenant architectures.
- Build and manage subject matter data at scale across diverse business domains and use cases.
- Implement and optimize ETL/ELT processes using modern data stack technologies.
- Ensure data pipeline reliability, performance, and scalability across multiple single-tenant environments.
- Architect data solutions that can handle subject matter expertise data from various domains while maintaining isolation and performance.
- Automate deployment processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data infrastructure and applications.
- Orchestrate and monitor Snowflake/Redshift resources using automation tools.
- Deploy and manage infrastructure across multiple single-tenant environments with consistent automation.
- Manage versioned products using mature DevOps/GitOps practices.
- Design and implement data architectures for multi-tenant and multiple single-tenant environments.
- Develop scalable patterns for subject matter data ingestion, processing, and storage.
- Implement comprehensive role-based access control (RBAC) systems.
- Ensure architectural consistency and data isolation across multiple single-tenant deployments.
- Design data models and schemas that accommodate diverse subject matter domains at enterprise scale.
- Implement data security best practices for large-scale data environments.
- Ensure compliance with data governance and regulatory requirements.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Licenses and Certifications:
- AWS, Azure or GCP cloud certification (Associate or Professional level) preferred
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or a related field required
- Master's Degree preferred
Work Experience:
- Minimum of two years of data replication, data engineering, and data integration and transformation, or related experience, required
- Experience with Python as it relates to and support data workloads and applications (PySpark, Pandas, Data Frames, etc.) required
- Experience with engineering and administration of relational SQL databases, such as SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres, and Snowflake required (Data Integration, transformation, manipulation). required
- Experience in managing Role Based Access Control required
- Strong proficiency to write complex SQL to perform common types of data extraction and manipulation. required
- Experience with AWS cloud services such as EC2, RDS, S3 & Athena, lambda, and DynamoDB required
- Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tool like Airflow required, Databricks preferred
- Working knowledge in data modeling, Change Data Capture and Slowly Changing Dimensions, understating of various aspects of logical, conceptual and physical modeling of data warehouse projects preferred
- Working Experience with version controlling GitHub preferred
- Familiarity with healthcare datasets such as Members, Claims, Risk Adjustment preferred
- Familiarity with Snowflake DB (SnowSQL, Snowscripts & Snowpipe) preferred
- Prior DBA or Unix/Linux System Administrator experience required
- Strong shell scripting required
- Experience working with vendor technical support to address emergencies issues preferred
Pay Range
USD $109,900.00 - USD $146,500.00 /Yr.
