The Opportunity

The Account Director is accountable for developing and implementing an account plan which will delight our clients and ensure a healthy long-term relationship. This executive leader anticipates client needs and delivers to outperform on the key performance indicators within the contract and builds financial plans while striving to exceed revenue and profitability. The Account Director creates and manages high performing teams which not only deliver operational excellence but keeps employees engaged and thriving, and in conjunction with the Work Dynamics leadership team, understands the firm's strategy and goals and can translate those into the business opportunities.

This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days on-site per week in Basking Ridge, NJ

Primary Responsibilities

Exceeding Client Expectations and Strategic Business Development

  • Drive account growth through strategic business development, articulating integrated value propositions and identifying expansion opportunities.
  • Lead RFP processes in collaboration with solutions development teams, ensuring competitive positioning and winning proposals. Lead and secure no-bid contract renewals.
  • Serve as the primary trusted advisor and strategic partner, maintaining regular executive-level touchpoints and relationship reviews.
  • Create and execute the account plan ensuring alignment of objectives across multiple services and driving high-quality results.
  • Build deep institutional knowledge of client objectives and develop client engagement strategies that strengthen relationships across all organizational levels.

Financial Performance and Revenue Growth

  • Own P&L responsibility for the account, managing profitability and margin optimization, financial forecasts, growth targets, and expansion strategies.
  • Manage growth pipeline and accurate revenue forecasting across all service lines.
  • Continuously analyze contract performance metrics and implement optimization strategies to maximize profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Drive commercial excellence by identifying cost-saving opportunities, revenue enhancement initiatives, and margin improvement tactics.
  • Monitor and optimize contract terms during renewal cycles to ensure favorable commercial outcomes and enhanced service delivery.

Building High Performance Teams

  • Demonstrate exceptional execution capabilities by making sound decisions and ensuring follow-through and accountability to drive results through others.
  • Actively recruit, develop, and retain top-tier talent while creating succession plans for critical roles across the account team.
  • Build actionable career development plans and foster a culture of continuous learning to maintain competitive advantage through superior talent.
  • Regularly assess team composition and reporting structures to ensure maximum productivity and client responsiveness.
  • Implement efficient workflow processes and communication protocols that support scalable growth and operational excellence.

  • Financially Astute- Strong commercial orientation with P&L management experience and pricing optimization skills.
  • Critical Environments - Experience with critical environments and data center real estate, including understanding of power infrastructure, space optimization, cooling systems, and mission-critical facility requirements.
  • Transformational Leadership- Simplifies complex challenges and processes; drives execution with energy and resilience to make things happen and deliver results.
  • Service Integration Expertise- Proven ability to coordinate multiple service lines and drive a seamless delivery and exceptional client experience.

Requirements

  • Leadership Experience: 12+ years of executive leadership in Commercial Real Estate, with specific experience in integrated service delivery across multiple disciplines
  • Real Estate Expertise: Proven track record leading Project & Development Services, Occupancy Planning, Strategic Consulting, Facilities Management, Lease Administration, Technology, Transactions and related CRE services.
  • Sales & Business Development: Demonstrated success in strategic selling, RFP leadership, and driving revenue growth.
  • P&L Management: Experience managing account profitability, pricing strategies, and financial performance
  • Contract & Risk Management: Strong background in contract negotiation, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies
  • Team Leadership: Experience leading large teams in both hybrid and client environments.
  • Client Relationship Management: Proven ability to build and maintain executive-level relationships.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred

Estimated compensation for this position:

225,000.00 - 265,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
