Job Summary
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible to complete all aspects of sheet metal modification and finish to meet or exceed customer demands.
* Read and follow blueprints to complete sheet metal work.
* Utilize multiple machines to complete task
* Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
* Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

Education and or Work Experience Requirements

Sheet Metal Fabricator 1
* Ability to operate multiple pieces of equipment listed below:
o Strippit
o Press Break (CNC & Manual)
o Shears
o Notcher
o Drill Press o Steam Jenny
o Tapping Head and Arm o Arku Deburr Unit
o Deburring Machine o Grinder
o Rollers (Power & Manual) o Sander
o Saws o Spot Welder
o Milling Machines o Polisher
o Lathe
o Sand Blaster
o Stroke Sander
o Forklift
o Laser
o Band Saw
* Ability to recognize different metal types and gauges
* Ability to pick the correct metal and gauge for the job
* Ability to read blueprints and to produce simple parts to blueprint specifications with minimal assistance.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and
external customers
* Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing
exemplary customer service
* Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given,
prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
* High school diploma or GED required
* Associate degree preferred
Sheet Metal Fabricator 2
* Ability to operate 15 out of the 22 machines listed in Sheet Metal Fabricator 1 and/or the ability to write and
modify basic laser programs or CNC press brake programs
* Ability to complete all other aspects of Sheet Metal Fabricator Level 1
* Must have completed 1year as a Sheet Metal Fabricator Level 1
* Ability to read blueprints and to produce complicated parts to print with minimal assistance
* Ability to complete all work within dedicated time frames
* Ability to utilize SAP to see open work orders, bill of materials, and to close work orders
* Ability to perform preventive maintenance on the lathe and milling machine.
* Ability to make and use complicated fixtures as needed to complete open task
Sheet Metal Fabricator 3
* Ability to operate 17 out of 22 machines listed in the Sheet Metal Fabricator 1 and/or the ability write and modify
complex laser programs or CNC press brakes program
* Ability to complete all other aspects of Sheet Metal Fabricator 1 and 2
* Must have completed 1.5 years as a Sheet Metal Fabricator Level 2
* Ability to assist and advise engineers on sheet metal shop capabilities and product application when needed
* Ability to make sketches of required parts when needed
* Ability to trouble shoot and diagnose as needed

Physical Requirements

* Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
* Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
* Must be able to lift and carry up to 40lbs
* Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
