Location:Los Angeles County Region |Reports to:District Manager, Automated Solutions West

What You'll Do:


As an Account Manager, you'll own a defined geographical territory (LA County - North Beach and up to Fresno Region), combining strategic prospecting with deep account management. You'll serve as the trusted advisor to our customers, connecting their needs with innovative protective packaging and sustainability-focused solutions.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Grow the Business:Drive sales through a consultative, knowledge-based selling approach. Identify new opportunities by truly understanding customer pain points and aligning them with our products and services.
  • Deliver Solutions:Design customized solutions using Sealed Air's full portfolio. Provide insights and recommendations that help customers operate more efficiently, sustainably, and profitably.
  • Build Strong Relationships:Cultivate long-term relationships with end-users and distributors. Become the go-to resource for product knowledge, application insights, and business support.
  • Drive Strategic Sales Planning:Develop and execute a sales plan focused on profitable growth. Prioritize top opportunities and align efforts with business goals.
  • Support and Retain Accounts:Proactively engage with customers to ensure satisfaction, resolve issues, and continuously add value to their business.
  • Improve Profitability:Partner with internal teams (Marketing, Pricing, Product Development) to optimize account performance and bring new innovations to market.
  • Stay Organized & Efficient:Keep sales activities updated in CRM, manage pricing and promotional programs, and handle budgets and travel planning effectively.

Qualifications

You're driven, consultative, and solutions oriented. You know how to listen, engage, and guide customers to decisions that benefit their business - and you thrive in an autonomous, performance-based environment. This role is for a road warrior.



Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree required (MBA/MS a plus)
  • 3+ years of experience in outside sales - hunting for new business
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel overnight as needed
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems



Bonus Points for:



  • Experience selling into manufacturing, logistics, or industrial sectors
  • Background in value-based or consultative sales
  • Familiarity with packaging, materials, or automation industries
  • Experience working with distribution partners
