Position Summary:

The Operations Manager is responsible for the oversight and performance of all manufacturing assembly areas. This role drives operational excellence through strategic and tactical planning, process development, continuous improvement, and workforce development. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, technical expertise and a commitment to quality and delivery.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

* Regularly review and communicate department performance in attaining goals, measuring performance, and delivering on established corporate metrics.

* Develop, Lead, and maintain a skilled workforce through timely coaching and feedback, cross-training, and employee development.

* Maintain a sound organizational development plan by establishing policies to drive retention, attract top talent and ensure adequate development of future leaders through succession planning and training initiatives.

* Develop, implement and execute on strategic plans and financial goals across the operational landscape to meet deliverables and drive continuous improvement.

* Establish succession planning and talent development strategies to build future leadership capacity.

Position Responsibilities:

* Oversee daily operations across assigned production areas, ensuring efficient workflow and resource allocation.

* Manage scheduling and labor distribution to optimize productivity and prevent over/underutilization.

* Interface with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth product flow through the assembly process.

* Escalate unresolved production issues promptly to minimize disruption and maintain timelines.

* Develops departmental KPIs.

* Utilize visual management tools (e.g., job/tier boards, hold shelf procedures) to communicate priorities and progress.

* Track and report performance metrics related to quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery.

* Lead daily production meetings to align operations with customer and company requirements.

* Ensure first-piece quality validation and adherence to build standards throughout the production cycle.

* Maintain accurate training records and ensure employees are certified in applicable procedures.

* Evaluate manufacturing non-conformances and address corrective and preventive actions with an expectation to drive a reduction of scrap and rework.

* Performs department audits to ensure compliance with QPM, ISO, IPC requirements.

* Champion Lean Manufacturing principles, including 6S, to drive operational discipline and efficiency.

* Ensure compliance with handling protocols, calibration standards, chemical expiration, and equipment readiness.

* Review and approve timecards weekly; ensure equitable labor distribution and compliance with policy.

* Serve as a role model for Sechan's values and reinforce a culture of integrity, respect, and excellence.

* Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement aligned with Sechan's values.

* Perform other duties as assigned to drive the vision, fulfill the mission, and abide by the values of this organization.

Skills & Abilities:

* Proven leadership in high-reliability manufacturing environments.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with sound judgment under pressure.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all organizational levels.

* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, ERP systems, and production databases.

* Deep understanding of electrical/electromechanical assembly and test operations.

* Experience with addressing Root Cause and Corrective Actions (RCCA) utilizing associated tools (e.g., 5-Whys, 8-D).

* Experience implementing Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).

* Minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership experience in product integration or manufacturing environment.

* Experience in aerospace/defense or high-reliability EMS environments strongly preferred.

* Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.

Work Environment:

* Production Environment: Requires physical capability to work in a production environment up to 9 hours a day including; sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities including; close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

* Be available during core business hours (1st shift). Occasional off-shift hours may also be required to provide support to operations.

* 9/80 work schedule.

* Occasional travel may be required.

* Office located in Lititz, PA, with occasional visited to Lancaster facility.
