Reporting To: Staff Engineering Manager, Product Engineer
Work Schedule: Onsite - Buffalo, NY
Our team in HVS is looking for a Senior Engineering Laboratory Technician to join them. You will report to the Engineering Manager and will have an onsite, 1st shift work schedule in East Aurora, New York.
To be considered for this role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:
- Associates Engineering degree with 5 years of relevant experience or a High School diploma or GED with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
- Must have the ability to obtain a DoD Contractor Security Clearance.
As a Senior Engineering Laboratory Technician, you will:
- Prepare and fabricate complex electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and environmental test setups.
- Conduct different environmental and functional tests and measurements for new product evaluation, development, qualification, and general support of engineering and manufacturing for operations.
- Prepare or assist in the preparation of test procedures, data sheets, data summaries and test reports.
- Help with builds, testing, work instructions, and NC dispositions
- Provide technical guidance/training for Engineering Technicians and Technicians from other departments using the laboratory facilities.
- Take a lead role in providing a safe testing environment, as some tests are destructive in nature. Tests can only be performed once on a test specimen and must be controlled.
- Work under severe time constraints and perform responsibilities with minimum or no guidance.
- Maintain an extremely accurate, detailed log of test activities to ensure timely and complete problem resolution. The detailed test log is also essential to allow the cognizant Engineer to complete the test report correctly and expeditiously.
- Support Development testing/builds as needed by the HVS business unit
- Provide production assembly/test instructions, training and monitoring to maintain production.
- Evaluate, request, and implement equipment to meet production requirements.
- Provide information regarding status of technical, quality, schedule, or cost impacts to all affected operating groups.
- Perform Material Review Board (MRB) analyses ("use as is", scrap, repair) and implement appropriate corrective actions. Participate on the Corrective Action Board (CAB) as required.

Salary Range Transparency: Buffalo, NY $75,000.00-$90,000.00 Annually
