Description

As a Network Engineer on our team, you will provide planning, design, development, implementation, and technical support of multi-platform, multi-system networks. Diagnosing network performance shortcomings, designing and implementing performance improvements. The Network Engineer shall develop, operate, and manage networks required to operate in a secure environment.

Day to Day activities:



  • Install and configure network switches, routers, firewalls
  • Develop network security requirements, policy, and translate requirements into specific device configurations.
  • Maintain, monitor, troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve problems with networked systems.
  • Design and implement specialized system networks.
  • Provide technical direction for the operation, configuration, and maintenance of network devices.
  • Create and provide equipment quotes for hardware design implementation.


You're required to have this:



  • Ten (10) Years experience in network design including routing, switching, firewalls and network security.
  • Knowledge of NIST, DISA STIG, JSIG and DoD networking requirements.
  • Extensive knowledge of network security practices and protocols.
  • Ability to document and produce network drawings.
  • DoD 8570/8140 certification
  • Willingness to travel to install and troubleshoot remote deployed systems.
  • Knowledge of Cloud, WAN, LAN and other small to large scale networking environments.
  • US Citizen, with current Top-Secret/SCI Security Clearance


Salary Range: 163,000 - 185,000

The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several factors including, but not limited to, level of position, job responsibilities, geographic location, scope of relevant work experience, educational background, certifications, contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, alignment with local internal equity as well as alignment with market data.

Licenses & Certifications: Meets 8140 training standards, Net+, Sec+

Ability to work independently and as a team member

Windows and Linux knowledge preferred
