Job Responsibilities and Requirements
Responsibilities:
*New product design and development
*Machine design and structural analysis
*Component research (bearings, gearboxes, motors, etc.)
*3D CAD Model Development
*Bill of materials, product structure, inventory issues related to design changes
*Prototype design/specification/assembly
*Testing, field validation, and data analysis
*Project specification preparation
*Timeline preparation/monitoring
*Implementation of solutions to solve real world problems
*User manual preparation - assembly, parts, operations
*Field work - research problems, monitor tests, installations
Requirements:
*B.S. Mechanical Engineering
*Excellent verbal and written communications skills
*Sheet metal design experience
*Willingness to travel both domestically and abroad, as required
*Strong analytical and mechanical aptitude
*3D CAD experience (SolidWorks preferred)
Desired Qualifications:
*Machine Design experience
*Seafood industry experience
*Working knowledge of EPDM systems
*Machnine Shop Experience (mill, lathe, etc.)
*Other trade experience
*FEA and CFD exposure
*Demonstrable efficiency with Excel, Matlab, or Mathcad.
Work Schedule:
*Monday to Friday, 8-hour days.
*Core hours between 9 AM and 2 PM, with flexibility for start and end times.
