The TECO Energy Cooperative Education Program offers college degree-seeking students the opportunity for professional growth while meeting the business needs of the company. The program is an extension of the educational process, providing practical experience to complement formal classroom work. The co-op program recruits students from colleges to give them an opportunity to work in a professional environment related to their field of study. Work assignments are consistent with the work needs of the department and the company and provide meaningful and challenging work to the student. These engineering co-op positions will report to Energy Supply engineers and support a variety of technical projects ranging in complexity, scope and time spans. Physical Location of Co-op: 1006 E Bearss Ave., Lutz, FL 33549 Working Conditions: Mostly in a normal office environment, a successful candidate will visit the field approximately monthly. This will include riding in a company vehicle on-road and off-road, walking on uneven surfaces, and entering substations. Preferred Availability: 20-40 hours / week. Emera Leadership Competencies:
