The International Picker/Packer located in Rensselaer, IN, is responsible for accurately selecting and packing parts for internal or external customer orders according to specifications. This role ensures products are consolidated, packed efficiently, and loaded for outbound shipments while maintaining inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and adherence to safety standards. The associate will operate powered industrial equipment (PIE) to move and stage products and will support the overall flow of materials through the international department.

Hours of Work:

* 1st Shift: 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM (overtime: 3:30 AM - 2:00 PM)

* 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM - 11:30 PM (overtime: 2:30 PM - 1:00 AM)

Role Responsibilities:
  • Receive and read customer orders to identify items and location codes.

  • Pick and count the correct quantity of the correct item from the correct location.

  • Enter accurate information into computer systems to maintain inventory records.

  • Move inventory utilizing powered industrial equipment (PIE).

  • Keep aisles and locations clean and organized.

  • Pack products correctly and ensure cartons are fully utilized with appropriate dunnage.

  • Locate pallets and product for designated loading areas.

  • Lift cartons or products weighing up to 50 lbs.

  • Perform loading, moving, and staging of inventory.

  • Maintain records and reports for inventory accuracy.

  • Report quality variances and product discrepancies.

  • Follow all work procedures, instructions, and safety rules.

  • Operate handheld RF or voice pick units.

  • Perform quality audits of trailers to ensure good working condition.

  • Monitor product movement to trailers, coordinating activities with other workers.

  • Operate equipment to transfer materials from transportation vehicles.

  • Record operating data manually or using computer systems.

  • Comply with all DOT, HAZMAT, and environmental policies and procedures.

  • Use all designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic math skills.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to operate powered industrial equipment.

  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.

  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and collaborate effectively with team members.

Preferred / Technical Competencies:
  • Proficient in WMS or a similar warehouse operating system.

  • Experience operating powered industrial equipment.

Other Competencies:
  • Self-motivated and flexible.

  • Demonstrates safe work habits effectively.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

  • Effective communication skills and punctuality.
