Position Overview

The entry level PTW Analyst is a member of the company's Competitive Analytics and Pricing Solutions Line of Business reporting to Manager, Senior Manager or Director. The position entails collecting information to analyze and evaluate. Conducts technical and functional research, prepares reports, studies, and documentation. Delivers presentations and participates in meetings.

This position requires the ability to obtain a security clearance. Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. Citizens. In addition, applicants who accept a conditional offer of employment may be subject to government security investigation(s) and must meet eligibility for access to classified information.

Duties & Responsibilities


  • Conduct research to frame models and simulations for Lone Star clients and, for Lone Star
  • Conduct research to develop inputs for models and simulations for clients and, for Lone Star
  • Perform discovery and analysis across multiple disciplines and domains
  • Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), incorporate their knowledge framework in models
  • Work with SMEs to incorporate their quantitative estimates in models
  • Work in a probabilistic context
  • Follow LSA development, test and implementation processes and methodology
  • Meet or exceed annual professional development and stewardship metrics
  • Support research to frame models
  • Comply to disciplined processes and be aware of Conflicts of Interest (COI)
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, etc. STEM degrees highly preferred.
  • Must be comfortable with the prospect of working across several industries (Aerospace, Defense, Manufacturing, Energy, Transportation, Logistics, and Telecom) and across several domains (Operations, Asset Management, Maintenance, Technology, and Others) as required.
  • Must be highly collaborative and capable of working in a team-based environment.
  • Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to search and extract information from large databases and ability to analyze conflicting and incomplete data to reach analytically based conclusions.
  • Understand basic business and marketplace activities, behavioral norms, and competitive pressures.
  • Aptitude for learning new software and procedures.
  • Basic spreadsheet and modeling skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Must be able to obtain a Department of Defense Security clearance.
  • Must have exceptional communication and presentation skills.


Additional Desirable Qualities


  • Leadership skills and specific background in Federal Pricing - CAS environment, including knowledge of TINA and FAR Part 15.
  • Advanced spreadsheet and modeling skills
  • Experience working in a DoD environment
  • Experience working in capture
