AMD together we advance_ Job Role and Responsibility: AMD, Inc., is hiring Sr. Field Applications Engineers to Cultivate strong AMD internal sales, marketing, and engineering activities focused on expanding the customer base. Drive a new era of computing into the datacenter by engaging with key customer engineering and leadership contacts. Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements, to promote the sale of company products, and to provide sales support. Confer with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs and to determine system requirements. Provide technical guidance and assistance to Account Executives in defining and executing account strategy. Prepare and deliver technical presentations that explain products or services to customers and prospective customers. Discover critical customer business challenges addressable with AMD technology. Provide hands-on, expert-level technical guidance to systems engineers and application developers in platform selection and optimization. Partner with other AMD subject matter authorities to tackle specific customer challenges. Architect, install, and test solutions in-house, as needed, to demonstrate and ensure successful evaluations and deployments. Lead technical sessions and seminars on topics, technologies, and products relevant for your customer. Gather a solid understanding of the competitive landscape and clearly articulate the technical differentiation and value proposition associated with AMD. Provide voice of the customer feedback to AMD marketing and engineering teams, OEM account. Utilize expertise with Server software ecosystem: Linux, Linux-KVM, Java, and profiling and performance optimization tools. Multiple openings. Qualifications: Degree required Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Qualifications: Amount and type of experience required: Two (2) years of experience in job offered or closely related engineering or technical marketing role. Specific skills required: The following skills are required: Position requires two (2) years of experience in the following: 1.x86 server platform and SoC architecture; 2.Server software ecosystems; 3.Profiling and performance optimization tools: Linux Perf, strace, and Intel vTune; 4.Working directly with customers to provide technical insights and support, ensuring alignment of platform features with customer goals; 5.Performing software verification; 6.OS kernel and systems development; 7.Unix or Linux environments; 8.C, C++, or Python; and 9.AI/ML inference. #LI-DP1 Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.
