Safety Coordinator

Position Summary

The Safety ensures seamless daily operations across office, manufacturing, and distribution areas at RWC's Cullman campus. This role manages the training record database, supports safety initiatives, tracks time and attendance, oversees office and facility services, and serves as the primary contact for visitors and vendors. The coordinator plays a key role in safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Principal Responsibilities for Operations & Fulfillment

Training & Compliance: Manage the Sunday Business System (SBS) training database. The SBS Training Database is ISO 9001-compliant software used to track employee training events, position requirements, certification, and recertification.

    • Maintain and update the training database with accurate employee records, course completions, certifications, and training attendance for Operations & Fulfillment.
    • Serve as the system subject matter expert, responsible for training other users
    • Report training gaps and key metrics to department leaders.
    • Track training progress for Operations & Fulfillment and identify gaps or overdue requirements.
    • Ensure documentation meets internal and regulatory standards.

Safety Program: Responsible for Safety Reporting, metrics tracking, and providing support to the EHS programs and the EHS team.

  1. Track and report monthly safety hours and safety engagement across all Americas locations.
    • Track and report other safety metrics as required.
    • Support safety committee activities and initiatives.
    • Assist in scheduling and documenting safety meetings, audits, and corrective actions.
    • Maintain safety-related signage and supplies, including maintaining records for MSC machines to obtain PPE.
    • Support safety and emergency preparedness protocols.
    • Maintain the iWarehouse forklift system.

Office & Facility Management

  1. Oversee office supplies, equipment, and allocation of workspace.
  2. Manage vendor relationships for cleaning, maintenance, and security.
  3. Manage the company vehicles, including scheduling, cleaning, and maintenance.

Visitor & Vendor Coordination

  1. Serve as the main point of contact for site visitors, including vendors, auditors, and corporate guests.
  2. Manage visitor check-in processes and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  3. Coordinate logistics for meetings, tours, and site events.
  4. Responsible for organizing hotel bookings for both visiting guests and RWC employees.
  5. Maintains visitor badges using the check-in and Out System.

Administrative Support

  1. Assist with employee engagement activities, including scheduling and internal communications.
  2. Support cross-functional teams with operational needs.
  3. Maintain records and documentation for audits and inspections.
  4. Coordinates ordering of office supplies and maintains appropriate inventory levels,s including breakroom and kitchen supplies.
  5. Coordinates the ordering of catered lunches for large meetings and events.
  6. Place orders for office, janitorial, and production supplies that are not handled by the purchasing department.
  7. Provide general administrative support as needed.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Education: Associate's Degree preferred but not required.

Experience:

  1. Experience in multi-tasking and providing administrative support to multiple project teams or managers with competing business needs is preferred.
  2. Experience in purchasing, shipping and maintaining ample inventory of supplies is preferred.
  3. Microsoft Office products to include: Word (letter/document creation), Excel (chart, graph, and table creation), PowerPoint (presentation preparation), and Outlook (e-mail scheduling and calendar management).
  4. Bilingual in Spanish Preferred

Working Conditions

  • This position will be primarily in an office environment but may also include time in the warehouse, manufacturing plant, and other locations.
  • Minimal travel other than periodic errands for supplies or picking up food for meetings.
  • Based: Cullman, AL

Physical Demands

  • Job requires both sitting, standing, driving.
  • Must be able to use a computer and answer the telephone without assistance.
  • Excellent vision, hearing, speech and motor skills are required to perform essential functions of the job.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
