Under the direction of Manager of Quality/Accreditation and NHCI leadership, supports clinical oncology quality initiatives and accreditation for Northside Hospital Cancer Institute (NHCI). Facilitates implementation of cancer program accreditation standards as a liaison and educator between oncology quality, Northside Hospital quality team, physicians, and clinical staff. Serves as a resource ensuring that clinical activities, reports at Cancer Committee, Breast Program Leadership meetings, and Rectal Cancer Team along with associated documentation meet cancer accreditation requirements. Responsible for the planning and execution of projects related to quality improvement and supports collection, analysis, and reporting of clinical, operational or survey data. This position is part of a collaborative quality team and is responsible for the interpretation, translation and implementation of accreditation standards across the NH Cancer Network.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

  1. B.S.N. in Nursing or B.S. Radiation Therapy/Oncology or related field
  2. Five (5) years prior healthcare experience.
  3. Two (2) years prior management/supervisory experience in a healthcare environment.
  4. Previous experience with outpatient clinical operations and electronic health systems.
  5. Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  6. Knowledge of applicable regulatory standards.

PREFERRED

  1. Background in Quality Improvement and Joint Commission accreditation.
  2. Background in Clinical Systems Applications.
  3. Advanced degree in Nursing, Information Systems, or Health Related Field.
