Job Title: IT Manager I - Delivery Manager
Location: Block 23
What you'll do: As an IT Manager you'll be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in a functional area on the system processes and structures that support multiple technology disciplines. In this role, you'll manage a small to mid size team that deliver functional projects on time and on budget. Additionally, you'll collaborate with internal business partners to proactively address ongoing customer needs and ensure rapid resolution to open issues. In this role, you'll also foster a collaborative environment with focus on continuous improvement and delivery of working software. As a IT Manager you'll assist IT leadership with the delivery of products and services as well as evaluate technology and set standards. Additionally, you'll recommend improvements to established business processes while continuing to deliver high value in execution. You'll help create and deliver project plans, remove any impediments, and track overall project performance to analyze the successful completion of business short-term and long-term goals.
- Implement safety procedures and data recovery plans. Develop user manuals, as well as policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Manage small to mid-size technology team and assist IT Leadership with employee development, retention, resource planning, talent management, performance management, and achieve a diverse and engaged workforce as well as recruit, train, and evaluate staff member's work.
- Analyze a variety of data and summarize findings in applicable reports or other communication mediums. Utilize data to identify areas of improvement and opportunities for growth by collaborating with business and tech leads.
- Lead end-to-end delivery of initiatives and products for the cards domain from vision and intake through planning, execution, release and operationalization integrating the needs of engineering, sales, operations and products to deliver payment solutions.
- Define and steer project vision, scope, strategy and integrated plans; manage capacity, resources, budgets and controls, across multiple concurrent work streams.
- Maintain consistency and coherence across tools (ADO, Workfront, roadmaps) and SDLC/PMLC, track and report on status, risks, dependencies, and performance to leadership.
- Facilitate change management, demand intake, compliance with controls and regulations (e.g. PCI DSS, EMV); champion continuous process improvement.
- Build and nurture relationships with business segments, vendors, and stakeholders; collaborate across teams, resolve conflicts, mitigate risk and operate effectively in ambiguity.
- Ensure quality and integration with payment processing platforms, card issuers and authorization networks; maintain governance and support deployments.
What you'll need:
- 5+ years of related experience in IT--App Support, IT--Development, IT--Networking or similar field including 3+ years' experience in Card Operations, Lending Bank experience.
- Bachelor's degree in related field required.
- Advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with tools such as Workfront, Azure DevOps (ADO), GRC, Excel, PowerPoint.
- PMP and Agile (Scrum/ JIT) Certifications preferred.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to audiences with varying degrees of technical understanding.
- Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member.
- Positive attitude and highly adaptable to change.
- Experience with Confluence or similar collaboration tools.
- Knowledge of Architecture and user flow experience.
- Extensive experience in credit and debit card operations including transaction processing, authorization, settlement, and fraud detection.
- Experience liaising with payment networks, card issuers, acquirers, and merchants.
- Understanding of payment industry regulations such as PCI DSS, ISO 8583, and EMV.
- Previous leadership experience required.
- Intermediate knowledge of general Financial Services or Banking is preferred.
- Intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
- Intermediate experience in managing a technology team within a specific functional area while ensuring highest quality delivery of products or services.
- Intermediate experience with the execution KPIs and meeting timelines.
- Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.
- May require travel up to 25%.
