We have an opportunity for an Operations Coordinator to join our Moorpark, CAteam. You will support team members on the line. Ensure that the line is running at constant pace. Responsible for improving the process through the implementation of the lean principles. Ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost control.

You will:

• Ensure proper cell setup before shift and breaks; monitor line start-up.
• Verify adherence to standard work and provide training, tools, and support for team efficiency.
• Ensure full schedule completion and address issues with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Monitor product quality to meet standards and performance levels.
• Apply Lean principles and maintain ability to perform all departmental operations within Takt time.
• Fill in for absent team members and perform in-line and offline repairs.
• Track production using hour-by-hour charts and maintain Kaizen stations.
• Identify and resolve safety and ergonomic issues; lead ergonomic exercises at shift start.
• Train new team members and assign tasks during extended downtime.
• Measure, monitor, and sustain metrics for Quality, Delivery, Cost, and 5S.
• Maintain Kanban quantities and manage performance recognition and correction.
• Serve as Kronos backup for time and attendance; report production and scrap to Shift Leader.
• Maintain first-level Lean data.

Key Qualifications:

• 2 years' experience in production/manufacturing leadership
• Bilingual (English/ Spanish) required
• Ability to create a highly effective team environment; lead team problem-solving efforts
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism; strong sense of business ethics
• Experience running team meetings
• PC literacy: Windows, Word, Lotus Notes, etc.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
• Ability to train other individuals
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds throughout the day
• Ability to stand 8 to 12 hours a day
• Steel-toed footwear is required.

Position hours/shifts:

• 3rd shift: 10pm - 6:40am (one weekend day required)
• OT required as needed

Compensation:

• The hourly pay for this role is $25.00 - $26.00/hour, plus 8% shift premium while working 3rd shift. Opportunity for a rate increase after you are proficient in certain skills and have fulfilled training. Actual pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, and experience.
