Responsibilities

Sr. Director Operations, Civilian

    1. Strategic Leadership & Vision

    • Develop and drive long-term operational strategies aligned with corporate vision and market trends.

    • Lead cross-functional initiatives to position the organization for future growth and competitive advantage.

    2. Enterprise-Wide Operational Oversight

    • Oversee multiple programs within the business unit, ensuring consistency and excellence in financial performance and operational execution.

    • Set and monitor enterprise-wide performance metrics, benchmarks, and KPIs.

    3. Financial Stewardship & Resource Allocation

    • Direct enterprise-level budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation to maximize ROI and operational efficiency.

    • Lead cost optimization and investment prioritization across the organization.

    4. Growth

    • Lead on-contract growth, meeting or exceeding growth targets for programs in portfolio.

    • Support new business development in markets adjacent to delivery portfolio supporting achievement of overall business unit new business growth targets.

    5. Technology & Innovation Leadership

    • Guide adoption of emerging technologies and operational best practices.

    • Sponsor enterprise-wide technology initiatives and digital transformation programs.

    6. Executive Stakeholder Engagement

    • Represent operations to the executive level, influencing organizational direction.

    • Build strategic partnerships with external stakeholders, including key clients, regulators, and industry leaders.

    7. Talent Development & Succession Planning

    • Develop senior leadership talent pipelines and succession plans for critical operational roles.

    • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.



Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in project and program management
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) or the equivalent relevant work experience (5 years)
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience managing Infrastructure IT projects and program
  • Proven experience with managing using DevOps and Agile concepts (3 years)
  • Exceptional technical aptitude and effective written and verbal communications skills

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification strongly desired
