Responsibilities

We are looking to add a Test Engineering Advisor to our team of talented professionals.

What you'll do:

Performs duties and responsibilities commensurate with assigned functional area within the program which may include, but are not limited to, any combination of the following tasks:

    Able to perform comprehensive both manual and automated functional, regression, system and integration testing across various platforms and test frameworks within AWS environments.
  • Work with technical teams and business analysts to validate system requirements, business rules and technical specifications to ensure that requirements are testable and complete.
  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and detailed test cases based on requirements, user feedback, and business priorities
  • Responsible for documenting defects, test results thoroughly, identify anomalies, and recommend process or product improvements based on findings working with development team.
  • Create and manage test evidence and defects via Jira or other tools. Able to perform Test Evidence reviews with Product managers and stakeholders.
  • Design, enhance, and support scalable and repeatable QA processes, including test automation and reporting solutions.
  • Manage multiple testing efforts and priorities under tight timelines across diverse application modules.
  • Mentor and provide training to QA team members as needed.
  • Write and execute SQL queries to validate data and perform comprehensive data quality testing.
  • Conduct accessibility testing and document results to ensure compliance with Section 508 standards.
  • Actively participate in Agile development processes, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and team meetings.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by preparing environments, coordinating with stakeholders, and participating in sprint demos and product walkthroughs.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 8 years with BS/BA; 6 years with MS/MA; 3 years with PhD
  • Experience leading the testing efforts and coordinated with customers and business partners
  • Experience in front end and backend testing on real world user interactions scenarios using manual and automated testing.
  • Hands-on experience with strong skills in writing and executing backend tests using complex SQL queries.
  • Proficient in drafting detailed test plans and test cases aligned with business requirements and technical specifications.
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile-Scrum methodologies, including participation in sprints and agile ceremonies
  • Must have experience developing test scripts
  • Experience with collaboration and tracking tools, such as: Microsoft Visio, JIRA or Confluence, HP ALM and TestRail.
  • Exposure to testing concepts, framework & best practices from industry for web applications.
  • Excellent knowledge in designing & implementing customized test frameworks as needed.
  • Must have knowledge and experience working with and supporting the development of an overall test plan and tailored test plans for each release.
  • Responsible for preparing comprehensive reports on testing progress/issues and remedial action.
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and clear reporting of QA outcomes.
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
  • US Citizenship is required.

  • Experience with Medicare and Medicaid programs
  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to work in a team environment and have sound judgment
  • Attention to detail, quick learner, have a positive attitude, ability to multi-task, self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain the completeness, timeliness and accuracy of all test plans and deliverables
  • Possess critical thinking skills, reading and interpretation, writing, and communication skills
  • Able to work closely with all project stakeholders while delivering solutions
  • Works with limited supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - must be able to communicate fluently in English both verbally and in writing
  • Strong analytical, organizational and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and work with cross functional teams including senior level individuals.
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment with varying priorities, based on a team building culture.

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
