Position: Optoelectronics Test Development Coop
Number of Position(s): 1
Duration: 4 Months
Date: January - May 2026
Location: Onsite in Allentown, PA

EDUCATIONAL RECOMMENDATIONS
Currently a candidate for a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field at an accredited school in the US.


  • Participate in coherent optical subsystems test set development
  • Design and develop manufacturing test solutions
  • Define and configure required test instrumentation hardware
  • Develop and support automated manufacturing test infrastructure
  • Develop and maintain software applications built on .NET

  • Hands on experience with optical and electrical test and measurement equipment including programmable optical power meters, attenuators, and switches, optical spectrum analyzers, digital multi-meters and oscilloscopes
  • Basic understanding of electronics, with the ability to read electrical schematics and comprehend technical documents
  • Proficiency in .NET and VB or C# programming language, including object-oriented programming concepts
  • Foundation in database concepts and experience working with databases, like SQL Server

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; capable of analyzing complex problems and developing effective solutions
  • Experience with Azure DevOps
  • Strong communication skills
