Job Summary

The Project Policy Analyst 3 will join the Health Professions Education Grants team. Founded with the goal to advanced interprofessional education and faculty practice development, this team manages and implements a portfolio of grants focused on primary care health care workforce and faculty clinical practice development. The incumbent will bring their experience and expertise to a growing team of professionals working on multiple competing priorities. The position requires a great deal of flexibility and adaptability to a fast-paced working environment.

The Project Policy Analyst 3 will work with a team that is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating educational activities that range from web-based training, in-person lectures and workshops to medical simulations. The learners for the educational activities may include: faculty, family nurse practitioner, physician assistant, and medical students; pharmacy, nurse practitioner and medical residents; nursing students and registered nurses; medical assistants and clinical social workers; and others who are part of the primary care team.

Requirements for this position include a working knowledge of University, policy and procedures, and campus resources. Ability to work in a flexible team environment, ability to maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with peers, staff, faculty, employees, colleagues. Ability to contribute to a diverse workplace through ideas or experience. Ability to support and advance the campus Principles of Community in all activities.

Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position.

  • Demonstrated experience with project management and program operations.
  • Experience managing shared inboxes to communicate with internal and external partners
  • Demonstrated experience creating reports and providing recommendations based on findings.
  • Expert level user of Excel and ability to master Qualtrics to administer secure surveys. Demonstrated expertise with NVivo and SPSS to support analysis work.
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office and other MS365 applications including software applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Position is expected to be self sufficient with regard to routine clerical duties, e.g. filing, word processing, photo copying, faxing.
  • Excellent organizational skills to work under frequent interruptions; to independently establish priorities, anticipate job requirements, organize workflow to work effectively to achieve timely progress on project and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills to clearly, effectively, and tactfully interact with individuals of varying ages and cultural backgrounds and perspectives to research, secure, and/or provide information to clarify situations, and resolve problems and ensure cooperation among individuals.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills to compare data to draw conclusions independently, develop goals/plans for resolution and implementation.
  • Ability to function well autonomously and with a great deal of flexibility in a fast-pace working environment; strong initiative and work cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Proficient in ability to handle sensitive personal information with appropriate discretion and judgment. Must be sensitive to highly confidential information and able to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing. Proofreading and writing skills to create grammatically correct, articulate, and accurate business correspondence, email, forms, and reports.
  • Knowledge in the areas of equity, inclusion, diversity, and cultural competency as related to graduate education.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills to handle requests expediently with minimal direction. Ability to be responsive and service-oriented and handle sensitive or difficult situations diplomatically.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills, especially in areas related to assessing project needs, recognizing opportunities, monitoring and meeting project timelines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
  • Master's degree in health-related field
  • Experience coordinating large groups of people, including speaking to large groups.
  • Experience with health professions education, clinical skills education, and/or educational simulation with interprofessional teams.
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat, Canvas, Articulate and Qualtrics.
  • General knowledge of the academic mission of the School of Nursing.
