DESCRIPTION
DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW: The Campus Budget Office (CBO) provides professional analytical and resource management expertise and services that support campus strategic planning, decision-making and effective management of campus resources. The office serves in an advisory role to campus executive leadership and reports to the Vice Chancellor-Chief Financial Officer (CFO), in support of UC San Diego's mission of teaching, research and public service. CBO develops current and long-range financial planning associated with the campus operating budgets by providing accurate, timely, and meaningful financial information, analysis and reports. The office holds a key role in the annual campus budget and resource allocations process. Additionally, CBO provides policy analysis and respond to a wide range of projects associated with resource impacts, including enrollment, tuition and fees, research overhead, insurance programs, administrative assessments and other institutional policies. POSITION OVERVIEW: Reporting to the Director of Institutional Resources and Business Systems, the Planning and Budget Systems Project Manager leads in analyzing and designing business processes, developing business tools, and implementing and managing systems that support the campus' annual budgeting cycle and other planning needs, with a focus on leveraging Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM)products, including Oracle Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Solution (EPBCS), alongside other technologies. Exercising a high level of autonomy and strategic ownership, this position is responsible for identifying business requirements, developing solutions to improve business processes and operations, and collaborating with technical teams to design and implement technical solutions that meet business needs. Evaluates the effectiveness of these solutions, develops and maintains technical documentation, and provides training and support to end-users, utilizing expertise in process analysis and design, business tools development, and system implementation and management to drive business outcomes and enhance the efficiency of campus planning and budgeting processes. Delivers innovative solutions that enhance efficiency, support organizational objectives, and sustain long-term operational effectiveness. QUALIFICATIONS

Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $97,200 - $182,000 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $46.55 - $87.16 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
