UC San Diego Health is Expanding - Join Our Express Care Team!

UC San Diego Health, a nationally recognized academic medical center, is actively recruiting board-certified or board-eligible physicians with backgrounds in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine to join our growing network of Ambulatory Express Care Clinics.

Our Express Care model provides same-day, walk-in access for patients with a wide range of low to moderate acuity concerns - from upper respiratory infections, minor lacerations, and musculoskeletal injuries to urgent evaluations of abdominal pain, UTIs, and other time-sensitive needs. We also offer preventive and wellness services, including medication monitoring, health screening exams, and school and sports clearance exams.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • M.D. or D.O. degree

  • Current California Medical License, or ability and commitment to obtain CA license prior to start date

  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Department setting

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Urgent Care

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
