As a Security Professional -- Armed Government Center Patrol - Full Time in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment at a government location dedicated to serving the community. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. You will be relied upon to provide excellent customer service, communicate clearly with visitors and staff, and act with integrity in every interaction. Pay Rate: $18.02 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for unusual activity and report findings according to established protocols.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disturbances or security-related incidents.
• Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and location staff to address security-related concerns.
• Handle access control and verify credentials as required by site-specific policies.
• Document incidents and daily activities in accordance with company and client requirements.
• Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies or requests for assistance as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
