Job Description:
Class A is required. We have an F250 (automatic trans) with a 20 ft gooseneck trailer & a tractor trailer (flatbed). The tractor is a Freightliner and is automatic. Travel 2 hours away tops for distance which still allows for several drops and home everyday. Hauling pipes, fittings and valves. 75% drive time and 25% warehouse or loading and unloading trucks, other duties within the warehouse. Driving a forklift would be beneficial for loading the trucks but is not required for unloading. We do not unload at jobsites unless the material is small/light enough for a single person to manage without any trouble. All employees use the pallet jack as required to move material around in the warehouse. Must haves: Smart phone savvy Dependable (there daily and on time) 6 months sit down forklift experience. ** Must be 21 years or older!** All drivers must hold the required state-issued self-certification designation of non-excepted interstate and provide proof. All drivers must hold at a minimum a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License. All drivers must have at least one (1) year of driving the class of vehicles they will be driving while assigned to *** Enterprises, Inc. All drivers must have had a CDL for minimum of one year. In addition to the essential job functions described below, all associates will perform duties as requested by branch management. Assigned responsibilities and duties may vary based upon location size and operations. Job Functions: Deliver materials by the time scheduled by your supervisor. Validate directions. Unload or assist in unloading material as required. Ensure that material is properly secured and within weight limits. Ensure delivery of ticket with material and obtain customer signature. Communicate with your supervisor throughout the day. Pick up customer returns and validate that product matches request for credit. Pick up local-pickup purchase orders. Secure and return packing list(s). Verify all material has been unloaded and placed at the delivery site. Verify the customers signature on the delivery ticket. Print name next to signature if necessary. Review delivered orders with the supervisor for completion, accuracy, and format. Return all delivery ticket copies to warehouse and verify that none are missing. Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) standards and regulations. Fuel the truck as necessary. Report any vehicle problems, moving violations, accidents, and defects to the supervisor Compliance with company uniform policy. Assist in warehouse as necessary. Pick orders for delivery, be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Represent the company in a professional manner at all times ensuring quality customer service. Abide by all polices, rules, and regulations of the company including all applicable safety rules, regulations, and procedures. Support corporate programs, goals, and initiatives of the company. Work overtime as needed. Class A can operate any vehicle with a semi-trailer or trailer with two or more axles. This group also includes any combination of vehicle with a gross vehicle weight rating greater than 26,001 pounds, provided that the gross vehicle weight rating of the towed vehicle is in excess of 10,000 pounds. Monday through Friday 7am to 3:30 pm 1/2 unpaid lunch Overtime possible at times depending on business needs. |
