Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure the proper training and onboarding of new hires and new employees within their department
- Complete leader tasks under the supervision of a supervisor while receiving feedback
- Develop the skills to be able to conduct a 5-Why Analysis
- Learn how to track absenteeism and time keeping
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Inbound
- Oversee Receiving team & Inventory Control Specialist
- Schedules and directs hourly warehouse staff as needed to meet daily inbound shipment requirements
- Verify incoming material shipments for accuracy. Check quality of materials and spot defective materials.
- Provide regular and effective communication internally and cross-functionally, maintain consistent communication with Outbound leadership
- Provide training and support for team members
- Drive accountability for safety, performance, housekeeping, etc.
- Develops and manages standardized methods for unloading, receiving, put-away, storage, and inventory control all aspects of inbound freight shipments that comply with customer expectations and management directives.
- Responsible for overall inbound shipment receipt timeliness, quality, measured by receiving accuracy and put-away performance, tracked, and measured by the Logistics Manager.
- Responsible for inbound transactional (computer system) and paperwork accuracy, which includes errors that affect inventory and unexpected customer shortages
- Works closely with Outbound leadership to maximize warehouse equipment and space utilization for the handling and storage of all products
- Maintains all equipment and supplies used in receiving

- Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- One year of leadership experience required.
- Warehouse operations experience required. Transportation industry preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to plan/prepare for what is coming (30 days, 60 days, etc.)
- Experience in training and development preferred
- Machining/assembly background
- Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others
- An ability to think ahead and plan over a 30-day time span and prepare action plans to achieve results
- Experience in measuring performance to goals and standards preferred
- Ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost, and employee relations
- Basic computer skills
