    $24.67 minimum hourly rate

    Job Responsibilities:

    1. Assist with the development of screening schedules and the appointment scheduling procedure and time lines. Schedule screening appointments for eligible children at the age of three years and follow through as necessary. Maintain scheduling database. Ensure that all children entering Kindergarten are in compliance with state law requirements.
    2. Maintain a referral database and follow through with all families and agencies/entities on all referrals.
    3. Familiarize and stay current with state early childhood screening changes and directives.
    4. Execute the plan for outreach to local agencies, child care facilities, schools to ensure all children are being screened at the age of three years.
    5. Keep accurate records, maintain data, and generate reports as necessary; prepare annual state report; transfer screening folders to appropriate schools for all children registered for Kindergarten.
    6. Be familiar with all district and community programs and services for families with young children. Evaluate and keep current resource materials for screening.
    7. Collaborate with Minnetonka Preschool, ECSE, ECFE, School Readiness, CFSP, Health Services, and elementary school staff for ongoing program assessment and improvement.
    8. Perform other duties of a similar nature or level.

    Qualifications:
    1. Experience in education, special education, health services, or a related field. Preference will be given to candidates with early childhood experience.
    2. Evidence of excellent word processing skills and data entry, including the demonstrated ability to type 50 wpm.
    3. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
    4. Evidence of ability to work collaboratively
    5. Evidence of excellent written and oral communication skills
    6. Proven record of excellent organizational skills
    7. Evidence of willingness to abide by confidentiality policy and practice of the district
    8. Positive interpersonal skills (relate well to children and adults) as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
