Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work ON-SITE with our client in Rochester, NY. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • The Quality Engineer (QE) will support Engineering Validation Testing (EVT) for spacecraft involving Thermal Vacuum, Dynamic, Propulsion, and EMI testing.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable procedures and Customer contract requirements during the EVT campaign.
  • Verify that the test setup configuration, test equipment calibration, and flight software versions are current to support pre-test meetings.
  • Support post-test meetings by verifying all sign-offs are complete, all requirements have been met, and all test flags or nonconformances have been dispositioned appropriately.
  • Document and facilitate the timely disposition of nonconformances (NCs) and test flags through TIPQA/JIRA systems.
  • Support operational tasks, including solar array integration and testing, installations, bus movements, and other activities.
  • Participate in daily planning and update meetings with the customer to communicate quality issues and resource needs.
  • Collaborate with Test Engineering, Systems Engineering, and the QE team to resolve issues and ensure smooth test execution.
  • Facilitate cross-functional Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA) as needed.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $31.00 - $45.00 / hr.

Hours: 40 hrs/Week. (1st shift).

Length: Temp (2 months).

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Engineering, preferably in Aerospace.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in industry quality standards, Quality Management System (QMS) Procedures, and Customer contract requirements.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in RCCA facilitation.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • AS9100/ISO9001.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, including technical presentation skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Proficiency with computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project).
  • Experience with Engineering Validation Testing.
