The ideal candidate will be between their Junior and Senior year of an undergraduate engineering program. Candidates should have taken courses on the topics of Calculus, Differential Equations, Stress Analysis, Thermodynamics, Physics, Mechanical Design, and Mechanics of Materials. The production engineering team is looking to host a dynamic and creative engineering intern who is interested in analyses, root cause investigations, design work, testing, and overall quality of gun systems in use by our nation's military. Essential Functions
Provides support to technical employees working in an organizational function related to the Intern's area of study.
Additional Responsibilities Day to day work will include mentoring under a seasoned production engineer, work on eclectic programs for the different gatling gun systems and their complex mechanical mechanisms, travel to our manufacturing facility (Saco, ME) and to our fire test facility (Jericho, VT).
