Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Ensure the proper training and onboarding of new hires and new employees within their department.
  • Complete leader tasks under the supervision of a supervisor while receiving feedback.
  • Develop the skills to be able to conduct a 5-Why Analysis.
  • Learn how to track absenteeism and time keeping.
  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Outbound:



  • Oversee Outbound Pick Team and Leaders.
  • Schedules and directs hourly warehouse staff as needed to meet daily outbound shipment requirements.
  • Load Trailers
  • Develop and maintain stock run picture filing
  • Provide training and support for team members
  • Drive accountability for safety, performance, housekeeping, etc.
  • Audits Pick/Packaging
  • Ensure LTL Ground shipments are complete each day
  • Provide regular and effective communication internally and cross-functionally, maintain consistent communication with Inbound leadership
  • Establishes and maintains individual performance expectations to meet or exceed business performance goals and objectives
  • Provides sufficient regular training of warehouse staff to support high performance levels in safety, quality, order fulfillment, efficiency, inventory control, and cost effectiveness
  • Develops and manages standardized methods for picking, packaging, staging, and loading of all aspects of Outbound freight shipments that comply with customer expectations and management directives.
  • Responsible for overall outbound shipment timeliness, quality (measured by picking accuracy and frequency of customer complaints for damage product received). Performance is tracked and measured by the Operations Warehouse Coordinator.
  • Responsible for outbound transactional (computer system) and paperwork accuracy, which includes errors that affect inventory accuracy and order fulfillment.
  • Works closely with Inbound leadership to maximize warehouse equipment and space utilization for the handling and storage of all products


Above is a list of the most important responsibilities and functions, which are essential to the position. Employees must be able to perform these essential functions satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation. Qualifications



  • Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

    • One year of leadership experience required.
    • Warehouse operations experience required. Transportation industry preferred.
    • Demonstrated ability to prepare/plan for what is coming (30 days, 60 days, etc.)
    • Experience in training and development preferred
    • Machining/assembly background
    • Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others
    • An ability to think ahead and plan over a 30-day time span and prepare actions plans to achieve results.
    • Experience in measuring performance to goals and standards preferred
    • Ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost, and employee relations
    • Basic computer skills
