Description MaineHealth CorporateManagement/Leadership Summary: Responsible for providing leadership, support, direction and focus in the application of the Patient Accounts standards and principles of continuous improvement (Lean). Manage a staff to ensure the financial goals and objectives based on the Revenue Cycle Scorecard are achieved monthly for each area of responsibility. Has full understanding of the process and each role within the process and its effect on the larger scope of the revenue cycle. Establishes the department standards and expectations for improvement initiatives and aligns them with Revenue Cycle initiatives. Creates an environment where new ideas are encouraged. Reinforces staff involvement in all improvement activities, develops department goals and objectives which support the corporate and health system goals. This position is responsible for the management of self-pay accounts receivable include overall oversight of the following activities: Customer Service/Call Center, Financial Counseling, Self-Pay Collections, and Bad Debt Management. This position will manage the day-to-day activities of the Call Center, financial counseling and Support teams. This position will also manage vendor relationships for Customer Service, Self-Pay Collections and Bad Debt, monitoring performance through metric tracking and work closely with vendor leadership to ensure best practice models are applied for the best financial results for the organization. This position will provide a level of support for escalated patient issues, working with appropriate departments to resolve these issues to the satisfaction of the patient and organization. This position will also be responsible for reviewing and processing invoices for vendors supporting CBO operations. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
