Thomas College is seeking a Bursar to join our Student Financial Services team. This position plays a vital role in supporting student success by ensuring accurate and timely billing, providing account counseling to students and families, and collaborating with campus partners to maintain financial accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Counsel students and families on payment options, balances, and financial obligations.
  • Prepare, issue, and reconcile monthly student billing statements.
  • Coordinate with the Controller's Office to ensure accounts receivable accuracy.
  • Process collections, third-party billing, and insurance/waiver reconciliations.
  • Provide excellent customer service through direct student interaction (in-person, phone, email).
  • Support Student Financial Services operations with flexibility and teamwork.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in student accounts, bursar operations, billing, collections, or related financial operations strongly preferred.
  • Strong technical skills with financial systems, databases, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, student-centered service.
