The staff associate manage all aspects of data acquisition, processing, and storage. Supervises, assigns duties and trains research assistants. Evaluates quality of all work. Supervises key data processing steps. Manages IRB reports. Interfaces with all providers including scanning sites, pet ligands, etc. Manages finances. Develops data use agreements. Manages cross entollment and study referrals. Another primary function is to make independent contributions to data analysis and publication. Responsibilities 1. Functional Knowledge: Strong understanding of the research subject. Expertise in understanding how the data translate into analysis and findings. 20% time 2. Problem Solving: Utilizes strong analytical skills to solve complex problems; I rely on her judgment. 20% time 3. Decision Making/ Autonomy: Works under minimal supervision on complex assignments that require a high degree of initiative and independent judgment. 20% time 4.Technical Expertise: S/he has broad understanding of research techniques, software and instruments used in project. 20% time 5. Communication: Excellent ability to translate information to general terms and help others understand impact of the information. S/he assists PI in preparation of publications, including funding proposals, manuscripts and other research-oriented documentation. 20% time.
