The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

This position is supervised by Dr. Vidhu Thaker, Pediatric Endocrinologist with research focus on early childhood obesity. Our team conducts sponsored and non-sponsored clinical trials for genetic and other rare forms of obesity. We also undertake observational study to understand the biological bases of early childhood obesity that includes both genetics and environment. The responsibilities include IRB regulatory work, conducting clinical study visits, coordinating the clinical trial with the study sponsor or collaborators, handling study samples, data entry, and simple data analysis.

Responsibilities



  • Review and submit IRB paperwork.
  • Work with PI conducting clinical study visits.
  • Coordinate the clinical trial with the study sponsor or collaborators.
  • Handle study samples, data entry, and simple data analysis.
  • Performs related duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested.


Minimum Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree and at least one and one-half years of related experience or equivalent in education, training and experience.
  • Knowledge of various related laboratory procedures and techniques required.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Masters' degree and experience working with medical field for at least 2 years.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
