Job Summary:

The Supply Chain Operations Specialist is responsible for maintaining established stock levels in supply areas for assigned Hospital units, medical group locations, and off-site points of care. This includes but is not limited to counting current stock levels, picking tickets from inventory locations, organizing and facilitating Just-in-time deliveries to assigned units, and checking supplies for expiration. The Supply Chain Operations Specialist is accountable for the relationship with clinicians, providing real-time updates on product disruptions and changes.

The Supply Chain Specialist I is a vital part of elevating current service levels, standardizing processes across the system, and ensuring the clinicians we serve have everything they need to deliver high quality patient care.

What you will do:

  • Monitor, count, and record inventory levels for all medical supplies in assigned Periodic Automatic Replenishment (PAR) locations
  • Deliver medical supplies to various departments and ensure timely replenishment/put-away of stock in PAR locations
  • Pick, pack, stage, and deliver supplies for orders that source internally
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of supply areas and stockrooms, including rotating stock and performing expiration checks
  • Create, foster, and maintain relationships with department secretaries, nurses, and charge nurses and provide frequent updates on the supplies stocked in the department. Use department phones/Vocera/pagers to respond to supply requests.
  • Utilizing Endeavor technology, ensure accurate data entry into handhelds, computers, and expiration logs. Check email regularly to stay up to date with departmental and system wide updates.
  • Participate in departmental initiatives such as process improvement, implementations, or regulatory readiness
  • Adhere to all Endeavor policies, infection control protocols, and Joint Commission environment of care and supply management standards

What you will need:

  • Education: Highschool Diploma or GED
  • Certification: Depending on the specific job duties, driver's license may be required. Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP) is admired
  • Experience: Prior experience in warehousing and/or inventory management in any industry is preferred but not required. Prior experience in a hospital setting is preferred but not required

  • Ability to prioritize daily tasks and manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of procedures for handling, storing, and rotating medical supplies
  • Capable of completing, comprehending, and adhering to Endeavor training and education module
  • Ability to learn to effectively utilize handheld scanners, personal computers, and Endeavor Health's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system

Physical Demands:

  • Medium work (exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 30 lbs. of force frequently and or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects)
