Fox News Channel is looking for an experienced and dynamic Afternoon Senior Producer to join the #1 national cable news morning program, Fox & Friends. As Afternoon Senior Producer, you play a pivotal role in planning guests and topics for the show the night before and overseeing our team of PM producers. You understand the essence of Fox & Friends' unique format and style and can pitch new and original ideas in a collaborative team setting. As a natural leader with a track record of success, you can effectively communicate with the morning team and follow through on the vision for the show throughout the day. You have strong editorial skills and a wide range of interests from news and politics to pop culture and everything else in between.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build the shows rundown for the next day, complete with creative topics and guests

  • Facilitate effective communication with the show's morning team, producers, and bookers

  • Identify and recognize stories with high potential for compelling television

  • Mentor and develop show staff including Line Producers, Writers, Bookers, APs, and Production Assistants

  • Approve and edit scripts, banners, and full screens

  • Participate in daily team meetings to develop show content

  • Oversee the execution and production of the show

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 5+ years of newsroom experience, including producing and line producing a television newscast

  • Demonstrated experience with handling on-air talent

  • Exceptional editorial and writing skills

  • Ability to recognize stories with high potential for compelling television

  • Passion for storytelling with a strong creative drive

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, coupled with the ability to establish a team-oriented work atmosphere

  • Attention to detail, an aptitude for working under tight deadlines, and effectively handling multiple priorities simultaneously

  • Strong interest and knowledge of current events, politics, and lifestyle topics

  • A Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field of study is preferred, or equivalent experience

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $114,000.00-152,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
