Junior Media Planner ideally with Healthcare/Pharma/Medical Devices Experience

2-Year Contract

Hybrid in Irvine, CA.

Pay is commensurate with a junior professional



We're looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Media Planner to join our global pharmaceutical client's media team. In this role, you'll support the efficient and compliant execution of pharmaceutical advertising campaigns that reach healthcare professionals and consumers. As an Associate Media Planner, you'll collaborate with senior media planners, social media planners, vendors, and cross-functional teams to maximize the impact of our clients' media investments. Your organizational skills and commitment to compliance will help ensure campaigns are flawlessly contracted, launched, and managed from start to finish. Please note, this role is much more EXECUTION than strategic.

Key Responsibilities



  • Manage vendor RFPs, collecting and organizing partner data to support media planning decisions.
  • Oversee the media contracting process, including drafting and maintaining insertion and work orders.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless campaign execution.
  • Traffic advertising materials and maintain accurate media calendars, finance trackers, and related documents.
  • Act as the primary contact for vendor billing, invoicing, and media expenditure tracking; update billing calendars and reconcile budgets.
  • Ensure all media activities comply with pharmaceutical regulations and industry standards, including NPP (Notice of Privacy Practices) workbook creation.
  • Stay current with evolving pharmaceutical advertising guidelines and best practices.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in media planning, media buying, marketing, or healthcare advertising.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
  • Comfortable working independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
