Job Description

Family Health Centers of San Diego is looking for a Coordinate volunteer resources to assist in the delivery of the organization's programs and services. Coordinate volunteers, and/or provide guidance, support, resources and tools to staff who supervise volunteers. Promote the volunteer program in the community and across the organization to gain community and organizational support.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote the volunteer program in the community and across the organization to gain community and organizational support.
  • Build positive relationships, inspire others to perform at a higher level, and prepare career development plans.
  • Develop and implement goals for the volunteer program. Assess the need for volunteers to enhance program/service delivery.
  • Develop, administer, and review policies, procedures, and forms which guide the volunteer programs and services.
  • Ensure that volunteers are given appropriate training, check-in procedures are followed, and records of volunteer hours are maintained.
  • Plan, establish, and implement a process for evaluating the contribution of individual volunteers, and establish a volunteer recognition program.
  • Ensure that volunteers work in a safe, healthy, and supportive environment in accordance with all appropriate legislation and regulations.
  • Prepare an annual report on the contribution of the volunteer program to the organization.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities, and ensure appropriate Lean tools (i.e., 5S, A3) are deployed and results are evaluated and/or measured.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to recruit the right volunteers with the right skills.
  • Provide/ensure staff receive all new hire and annual trainings, and are conducted in a timely manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience that provide the skills, knowledge and ability to perform the essential job duties, and which meet any required state or federal certification requirements.
  • Certificate in Volunteer Management preferable.
  • Must meet organizational driving requirements.

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base range for this position, exclusive of fringe benefits.

68,640.00 - 81,639.99

If you are hired at Family Health Centers of San Diego, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, jurisdictional requirements, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to these factors - we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
