General Information:

The College of Business at James Madison University seeks to hire a part-time administrative professional to provide support to the Academic Unit Head, faculty, and academic programs. This position will work approximately 20 hours per week during the academic year and is not anticipated to work during summers. Hours are flexible between 8am and 5pm. The part-time administrative assistant will work together with the full-time administrative assistant to set a schedule.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will help manage the administrative office for the Academic Unit Head as well as full- and part-time faculty within the Hart School.

Duties include, but are not limited to, foundation reimbursement, travel logistics, training and supervising graduate and undergraduate student employees, marketing communications and work orders. Additional duties include general correspondence, reservations and some event planning.

* Professional demeanor, confidentiality and excellent customer service skills are essential
* Strong organizational skills
* Ability to work fluidly in a dynamic environment
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office processes is essential

Conditions of Employment:

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check.

This is a part-time wage position working up to an average of 29 hours per week over the course of a calendar year with no benefits.
