Responsible for the day to day operations of the infusion pharmacy. Responsible for maintaining and ensuring compliance with all
accreditation programs, pharmacy licenses, and state and federal regulations. Serves as a mentor and leader for UPaH infusion, as
well as, all of UPaH and UPH. Provides timely communication with the VP and staff, as needed. Performs all duties required and
assigned in a timely manner. Maintains professionalism at all times and exemplifies the FOCUS values.

Responsibilities
  • Lead pharmacy operations to ensure efficiency, performance optimization, and continuous quality improvement in a dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, learning, teamwork, and professional practice aligned with company values.
  • Maintain open communication with staff, providers, patients, and leadership to support trust, development, and service excellence.
  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, and licensure compliance for pharmacy staff.
  • Supervise daily operations including scheduling, staffing, and adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure holistic, age-appropriate care across all patient interactions.
  • Manage clinical operations and make sound clinical decisions.
  • Coordinate medication dispensing in compliance with state, federal, and pharmacy regulations, including REMS programs.
  • Monitor financial performance through budgeting, variance analysis, and productivity tracking.
  • Provide support for documentation, inventory, and delivery issues.
  • Keep staff informed on pharmaceutical updates and regulatory changes.
  • Lead monthly staff meetings and ensure timely payroll reporting.
  • Stay current through professional development and participation in industry organizations.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Science or Pharm.D from an accredited pharmacy school; MBA or MHA preferred.
  • Current unrestricted Iowa pharmacy license.
  • Valid driver's license with insurance per state/organizational requirements.
  • Mandatory Reporter certification for Child & Dependent Adult Abuse.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years in pharmaceutical practice, specifically home infusion therapy.
  • 2+ years in business management, including billing/service operations.
  • Proven leadership and supervisory experience.
  • Familiarity with pharmacotherapeutics, specialty medications, and infusion services.
  • Skilled in process improvement, personnel administration, and patient relations.
  • Experience with computerized billing systems and insurance claim coding.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and independent decision-making abilities.
  • Collaborative team player with knowledge of relevant policies and procedures.

Additional Requirements:

  • Proficiency in computer systems and applications.
  • Use of standard equipment necessary for role performance.
