Student Consultant II

Academic Technologies is seeking responsible,
self-motivated students that demonstrate leadership, aptitude, and initiative
to provide assistance and training on a wide variety of technology in
computer classrooms to students, faculty, and staff. Successful candidates
will demonstrate excellent customer service skills as well as the ability to
work with all people. This position provides support for the computer
classrooms for all clients.

Must possess
the ability to work independently, organize time efficiently, and communicate
professionally with faculty, staff, and students. Applicants should be able
to take the initiative to solve problems on their own as well as request help
as needed. Applicants may be asked to participate in projects, which may
include technology testing, maintenance, or deployment of new classroom
environments.

Duties and
responsibilities include:
Provides
technical support and training for technology in computer classroom pods.
Routine maintenance and testing of classroom
technology.
Provide immediate response to requests from clients.
Troubleshooting software and hardware issues
including resolving and triaging issues in the help system.
Proficient in basic clerical skills and willing to
use work time to learn and expand one's knowledge.
May be expected to perform administrative tasks.
Maintain cleanliness of computer classroom pods.

Equivalencies not found for this position

Minimum Qualifications:

Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM, at
least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters.

At least one semester working as Computer Consultant I
within the last year.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience
working in an IT environment.

Experience
in customer service.

Ability
to work in a team environment.

Experience instructing customers and working with
faculty.
