Job Summary The 2nd Shift Operator is responsible for the production and assembly of high-quality medical devices within a manufacturing cell. This role involves performing detailed assembly, operating machinery and equipment, and ensuring adherence to documented procedures and quality standards. Work may take place in a controlled cleanroom environment and includes handling delicate materials and components using precision tools and instruments. This position is non-exempt, and hours worked over 40 per week are paid at time and a half. Job Responsibilities Assemble medical devices and related components according to established procedures and quality requirements. Operate various manufacturing equipment, including those used for electronic assembly, casting, coating, mechanical assembly, and packaging. Use microscopes, hand tools, syringes, razor blades, soldering equipment, adhesives, and other precision instruments as required. Perform visual inspections and precision measurements on parts, subassemblies, and finished products. Conduct tests on devices using computerized or manual testing equipment. Repair and correct components or assemblies under microscope as necessary. Clean tools, equipment, and work areas in compliance with documented procedures. Safely dispose of hazardous waste materials in designated disposal areas. Maintain complete and accurate production documentation. Follow safety protocols, cleanroom standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Prioritize and manage different tasks based on production needs and importance. Exercise sound judgment and make quality-related decisions with minimal supervision. Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing or assembly experience, preferably in a medical device or regulated production environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality. Ability to follow standardized work instructions and maintain documentation accuracy. Manual dexterity and visual acuity for precision assembly work. Knowledge of basic safety and cleanliness protocols, including proper handling of tools, equipment, and hazardous materials. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Work Experience At least 2 years of related manufacturing or assembly experience required. Additional Job Details Employment Type: Non-exempt position. Compensation: Overtime (hours over 40 per week) paid at time and a half. Shift: 2nd Shift (specific hours to be assigned). Work Environment: May include a controlled cleanroom environment; adherence to gowning and contamination control protocols required.
