We're excited to share a great opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our clinic in Newport Beach! In this role, you'll work closely with multiple providers, helping coordinate care, educate patients, triage, follow up on orders, and generally support the team. You'll be part of a multidisciplinary care group making a real difference in the lives of patients on their cancer journey. You'll also lend a hand in the infusion clinic when needed-like covering lunch breaks or stepping in for extra support. The RN must have experience in oncology.

  • Eligible for Sign-On Bonus: $20,000.00
  • Monday through Friday 4/10 hours shifts
  • No weekends or holidays

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Assessing of Patients' Health Status:
  • Conductthorough assessments of patients' health status before, during, and after chemotherapy infusion sessions.
  • Monitor and document vital signs, symptoms, and overall response to treatment.
  • Care Planning and Implementation:
  • Develop comprehensive care plans tailored to each patients' unique needs and treatment regimen.
  • Implement nursing interventions in line with established care plans, ensuring optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between various stages of treatment.
  • Schedule and facilitate follow-up appointments, actively participating in the continuity of care.
  • Assist patients in managing and coping with side effects and complications arising from cancer treatment.
  • Proactively address and alleviate symptoms, collaborating with healthcare providers as needed.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the overall are provided in the outpatient infusion clinic.

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include:

  • Associate degree in nursing.

  • 3+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse.

  • Current California Registered Nurse license

  • Current BLS through American Heart Association.

  • *If RN is working within Medical Oncology, an ONS certification is required

Preferred qualifications:

  • Two (2) years of experience in a physician's office or hospital.

  • One year oncology and chemo administration

  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience.
