What role will you play?

In this role, you will be partnering with a range of stakeholders, including front office and senior management, to identify, communicate and manage potential opportunities for more efficient outcomes. You will utilize your technical accounting expertise to advise on the accounting treatment for new products, restructures, and complex transactions. Additionally, you will be coordinating within our Financial Management Group to assess and manage risks arising from new proposals, as well as understand and communicate accounting areas of judgement, assess and challenge existing accounting treatment, and provide recommendations in response to accounting developments.
Salary range for this position: $125,000 - $150,000/Year. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. What you offer

  • CPA qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience within an accounting advisory or transaction advisory role, with a focus on banking and financial services and ideally with commodities experience. Strong knowledge of IFRS 9, Financial Instruments, is required.
  • Excellent communicator, with the ability to conduct training on accounting updates and convey complex accounting issues to varying types of stakeholders.
  • Commercial mindset, translating accounting theory into commercially viable answers.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing and managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.
