Position description

Associate Specialist - Kornberg lab

The candidate will conduct independent research using classical genetic, molecular biological and biochemical techniques to investigate processes involved in cell-cell signaling and gene regulation during Drosophila development.

Required Qualifications:



  • Master's degree (or equivalent degree) or five to ten years of experience in the relevant specialization.
  • Expertise in Drosophila genetics, Drosophila developmental genetics, nucleic acid molecular biology and protein isolation are all essential to carry out the ongoing research projects.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • PhD and postdoctoral experience with Drosophila genetics and biochemistry.
