DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Administrative Assistant 1, you will be responsible for maintaining state and county data systems, assisting with provider contracting, processing service authorizations, preparing reports, and performing various administrative duties. Our ideal candidate will have strong data entry, communication, and organizational skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with electronic records systems. Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and updating electronic data tracking and scheduling systems
  • Supporting provider contracting, including preparing and routing contracts
  • Processing service authorizations and billing, including Health Choices invoicing
  • Coordinating Drug and Alcohol Advisory Board meetings and documentation
  • Providing technical assistance and training to staff on data systems
  • Performing general clerical and administrative support tasks

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Work often includes irregular hours including evenings and weekends.
    • Occasional over night travel or out of county travel for meetings or trainings may be required.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • You must pass a background investigation.
  • A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
    • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
