Summary of Position

The Accounts Receivable (AR) Collections Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the collections team while supporting the company's financial goals. This role combines leadership, analysis, and process oversight to ensure the timely and accurate resolution of outstanding receivables. In close partnership with the AR Manager, the Team Lead will supervise and coach collectors, provide training and process documentation, monitor performance against goals, and support planning, forecasting, and reporting activities.

This will be a hybrid role in the DFW area. Candidate must be willing to commute to the Lewisville, TX office, when necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily team performance, providing guidance and support to ensure effective collections strategies and timely account resolution.
  • Review and resolve escalated collection issues from collectors, clients, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support collections forecasting and planning in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Research and reconcile AR balances, triage accounts to ensure accurate payment allocation and billing, and determine necessary actions for timely resolution.
  • Analyze performance metrics, identifying key drivers and root causes of issues to improve results.
  • Ensure complete portfolio coverage by all team members and equitable distribution of accounts.
  • Oversee team quality audits and prepare productivity reporting to ensure accuracy, consistency, and achievement of performance standards.
  • Coordinate meetings to present customer issues, assign action items, and meet follow-up expectations, client meetings, and conference calls to address collections issues, resolve disputes, and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Lead special projects and initiatives assigned by management.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Consistently meet or exceed productivity standards for daily and monthly assignments.
  • Prioritize workload to maximize turnaround time for both self and team.
  • Assist in creating, updating, and maintaining standard training materials and process documentation.
  • Provide training and coaching to AR staff, including onboarding of new employees and ongoing development for existing team members.
  • Perform other ad hoc duties as required.

Qualifications Expected for Position

  • Strong knowledge of the Order to Cash processes, including contracts, billing, collections, payment applications, and accounting principles.
  • Advanced meeting facilitation skills, with the ability to drive discussions toward clear, actionable steps to expedite collections.
  • Experienced in day-to-day use and navigation on an Oracle platform, preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (reporting summaries, data transformation, pivot tables, lookups, data analysis).
  • Prior success leading teams and serving as a trainer, mentor, or subject matter expert (SME) within Order-to-Cash functions.
  • Ability to analyze account impacts conceptually and analytically, connecting details to the bigger picture.
  • Experience in a publicly traded company and B2B collections environment preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with experience operating in a global business environment preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional, assertive style.
  • Collaborative and effective in a team-oriented environment.

The base salary range for this position is $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year.In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here:Teladoc Health Benefits 2025.Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.This information is applicable for all full-time positions.
