About the Team

AI Ecosystem is a new, centralized AI organization designed to deliver a unified AI solution that seamlessly spans Lenovo Intelligent Devices Group devices and segments. We are a diverse, nimble, fast paced team motivated with entrepreneurial spirit. Our talented product and development teams are infused with a deep understanding of the user, work collaboratively and are empowered to move aggressively to create a new era of experiences that seamlessly span a user's wearables, smartphone, tablet, laptop and cloud services. As a User Experience Designer focused on AI, you will help define and deliver intuitive, scalable, and user-centered design solutions for products across the Lenovo Intelligent Devices Group (IDG).

About the Role

In this mid-level role, you will work closely with product managers, researchers, engineers, and fellow designers to translate insights into thoughtful design decisions. You will support key design efforts from early exploration to final implementation, contributing to software and service experiences that are both intelligent and approachable.

This hybrid position is based in either our Chicago, IL or Morrisville, NC office, with an expectation of being onsite three days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design of end-to-end experiences across Lenovo's AI software and device ecosystem, collaborating with cross-functional partners.
  • Create user flows, wireframes, and interaction models across the full lifecycle of beginning feature discovery, to final design handoff.
  • Creating interactive prototypes that demonstrate key flows and features, and rapid prototyping variations.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to ensure design intent is carried through to implementation.
  • Participate in user research concepts and help synthesize findings into actionable design improvements.
  • Refine and iterate on designs based on feedback and usability data.
  • Present your work to design peers, stakeholders, and partner teams with clarity and purpose

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of UX design experience, preferably in digital product environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, UX Design, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with tools like Figma, Adobe CC, and standard design software for user experience design.
  • Solid understanding of UX principles, interaction patterns, and accessibility best practices.
  • Experience with creating and iterating on prototypes.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing your work and design skills is required for consideration.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing for cross-platform experiences such as desktop, mobile, and tablet
  • Familiarity with AI or machine learning experiences and passion for developing innovative solutions
  • Experience working within or contributing to a design system that has shipped in the marketplace.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills in presenting design work
  • Comfort participating in user research and creating variants based on customer feedback.
  • Experience working within agile product & engineering development teams

The base salary range budgeted for this position is $100-135k. Individuals may also be considered for bonus and/or commission. This role will join us at our Chicago, IL or Morrisville, NC locations on a hybrid schedule onsite 3 days/week.
